Everything your HR team does, in one place

Attendance that works for staff who are rarely at a desk, payroll that already knows about PF, ESIC and professional tax, and the statutory returns that follow from both — without a spreadsheet in between.

Attendance and time

Attendance is where most HR software either wins trust or loses it. Ours is built for teams that are not all sitting in one office.

GPS selfie attendance

Staff mark attendance from their phone with a selfie and a location stamp. You see where the punch came from, not just when — which settles the argument about a field visit before it starts. Attendance can be bound to a registered device, so one person cannot punch in for another.

Shifts and rosters

Build shift patterns once and roster staff against them week by week. Night shifts that cross midnight, rotating weekly offs and split shifts are handled as first-class cases rather than something you work around with manual entries.

Leave management

Casual, sick and earned leave, each with its own accrual rule, carry-forward cap and encashment behaviour, and eligibility that can be restricted — maternity and paternity leave reach only the staff they apply to. Requests route to the reporting manager, balances update the moment leave is approved, and the leave calendar shows who is away before you approve one more.

Comp off, on duty and overtime

Compensatory off is claimed against a specific day worked on a week-off or a public holiday, so the entitlement is traceable to the work that earned it. On-duty requests cover a day spent at a client site, in training or working remotely, and are approved on the same trail as leave. Overtime hours are captured at check-out and paid at the rate your company sets — double time, time and a half, plain time, or a fixed rate an hour — on basic, basic plus DA, or gross, with daily and monthly caps.

Payroll and statutory compliance

Indian payroll is not arithmetic — it is arithmetic plus a filing calendar. Both live in the same place here.

Payroll processing

Salary structures with basic, HRA, DA, conveyance, medical and any allowance you need to add. Attendance and approved leave feed the calculation directly, so a month with three unpaid days needs no side spreadsheet. Payslips are generated per employee and available to them in the same app.

PF, ESIC and professional tax

Provident fund and ESIC are computed against the wage ceilings in force, employer and employee shares kept separate. Professional tax follows the slab of the state the employee is posted in, not a single rate applied to everyone — which is where a lot of payroll software quietly gets it wrong for distributed teams.

EPFO and ESIC returns

The monthly ECR and ESIC contribution files are produced from the payroll you already ran, in the format the portals accept. No re-keying, and no month where the return says something different from the payslip.

Tax declaration and reimbursement

Employees submit their investment declarations and rent proofs in the app, so TDS is computed against what they actually declared. Expense claims carry their bills as attachments, route through two-level approval with per-category limits, and settle alongside payroll instead of as a separate payment run.

Forms and letters

The paperwork that surrounds payroll, pre-filled from the employee record rather than retyped — statutory forms, HR letters, and blank printables for the cases where a form still has to be filled in by hand.

Field force

If part of your team spends the day away from a desk, this is usually the part that decides whether the system is worth having.

Field visits

Client visits are planned in advance and then closed out against the plan: the employee checks in at the site and checks out when they leave, and both carry coordinates. What a manager gets is a visit log with a place attached to every entry, so a day's calls can be verified rather than taken on trust.

Live GPS tracking

A separate capability from visits, and sold separately as a paid add-on. Where a visit is something the employee declares, this is the passive location trail the phone leaves through the day — drawn on a map as the route actually taken, with the distance travelled totalled for the day or a range of days. Useful where the question is how the day was spent between the calls, not only whether the calls happened.

Device binding

An employee's account can be tied to the device they actually carry. A punch from an unregistered handset is refused, and a device change is a request a manager approves — the practical answer to attendance marked from somebody else's phone.

People and records

The employee file itself, and everything HR is asked to produce out of it.

Employee records and directory

One record per employee holding personal details, department, branch, designation, salary history and reporting line, alongside a career timeline of joining, promotions and revisions. The directory makes the same information searchable for everyone, so nobody has to ask HR for a colleague's extension.

Employee documents

ID proofs, offer letters, certificates and the rest held against the employee they belong to, sorted into categories. Documents that expire carry their expiry date, and HR can mark a document verified — which is the difference between a file store and a record you can rely on at audit.

Performance and appraisals

Appraisal cycles built on KRAs and KPAs, with the employee rating themselves first, the manager next and HR last. Ratings run one to five and are weighted into a final score, so a review ends with a number as well as a conversation.

ID and visiting cards

Printable identity and visiting cards generated from the employee record, in a choice of templates. The name, designation and photo come from the record itself, so a card cannot quietly disagree with the file it was printed from.

Workplace and insight

The everyday things people open the app for, and the numbers you need at month end.

Policies

Company policy documents published to staff and organised by category — leave, conduct, travel, whatever your handbook covers. One current version in one place, readable from the app, rather than a PDF circulated by email that nobody can find six months later.

Helpdesk

Internal tickets raised by employees to HR and Admin, each with a category, a priority and a reply thread. A payslip query or a laptop request stops being a message in somebody's chat window and becomes something with a status and an owner.

Celebrations

Birthdays and work anniversaries surfaced as a feed colleagues can post wishes on. A small thing, and the part of an HR system people actually open of their own accord.

Reports and analytics

Attendance summaries, leave, payroll registers and headcount movement across whatever date range you pick — the reports a finance team asks for at closing, exportable rather than trapped on a screen.

Mobile app (PWA)

Installs from the browser onto Android and iOS with no app store in between. Employees mark attendance, apply for leave, submit claims and read payslips from their phone; updates reach everyone the moment they ship.

Common questions

Does CredoHRMS handle PF and ESIC calculations automatically?

Yes. Provident fund and ESIC are calculated during payroll against the wage ceilings currently in force, with employer and employee contributions kept separate, and the monthly ECR and ESIC contribution files are generated from that same payroll run.

Can employees mark attendance from outside the office?

That is the normal case rather than an exception. Attendance is marked from the phone with a selfie and a GPS location, so a field visit or a client site is recorded with the place it happened. Attendance can also be restricted to a registered device.

Does it handle professional tax for employees in different states?

Yes. Professional tax follows the slab of the state each employee is posted in, so a team spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal is deducted correctly without maintaining separate payroll runs.

Is there a mobile app?

CredoHRMS installs as a progressive web app on Android and iOS straight from the browser. There is no app store download, and every employee is on the current version automatically.

Can leave policies be different for different groups of staff?

Leave types are configured with their own accrual, carry-forward and encashment rules, so probationers, confirmed staff and contract employees can be governed by different policies within the same company.

Does every plan include every module on this page?

No. Each plan carries a headcount limit and a set of included modules, and a module your plan does not include is hidden rather than shown and refused. The pricing page lists what each plan includes, and you can move up a plan at any time to add modules.

What is the difference between field visits and live GPS tracking?

A field visit is planned work the employee checks into and out of at a client site, which records the place each visit happened. Live GPS tracking is the passive location trail through the day, drawn on a map with the route taken and the distance travelled. Visits are part of the field module; live tracking is a paid add-on bought separately.

See it against your own payroll

The fastest way to judge an HRMS is to run one month of your own numbers through it.
